Frustrated by this time-consuming, ineffective legacy process, many organizations are moving toward a more qualitative approach that leverages informal, insightful coaching conversations about performance and expectations. However, the lack of skills and training in this brave new world of performance management is leaving managers ill-equipped to help their employees become better versions of themselves.
